Investment adviser Dale Gillham says you don’t necessarily need a high IQ to be a successful stock market trader but you do need the right attitude.
Born and raised in Geelong, Mr Gillham offered insight and teaching to investors and now he is offering advice to you as Business Beat’s new weekly share market analyst in The Bullring, which begins today.
Mr Gillham founded his financial service company Wealth Within in 2002 – the company has announced a BRW Fast 100 company – and now he invested millions on clients’ behalf.
The investor said the secret was not necessarily book smarts, but a knowledge of market behaviour.
“The key to learning how to trade successfully is to learn how to think and behave like a professional trader,” he said.
“What I do is give people the tools and attitude they need to achieve positive financial change.
“Whether clients want to do it themselves or let us do it for them, my goal is to support them to achieve consistently profitable returns using a proven investment strategy.”
In 2005, Mr Gillham’s company launched the first and only government-accredited trading and investment diploma, to help students reach their market goals.
