Dale Gillham has been in the investment industry in various sectors for over 20 years including banking, financial planning, share market education and professional training.He was first introduced to the share market at 19, when after talking to an insurance broker, he was excited to be investing in a managed fund for two reasons, firstly, because it encouraged him to save a percentage of his income and, secondly, because it meant he would have a sufficient deposit in years to come to purchase a house.Unfortunately five years later he had less than half the funds he had initially invested.

And whilst this initially distressed him, what he really found ironic was the fact that he had been paying so-called experts annual managment fees to invest his money at a loss.

Using this as a wake up call, he realised he had two choices.

Continue down the same path and hope things would change, or take a more disciplined approach to actively educate himself to achieve his financial goals. After choosing the latter he is happy to say that it has paid off tenfold.

And whilst the journey has not always been easy, it has been interesting, and in most cases exciting. But importantly Dale discovered that whilst self-education requires commitment and hard work, you don’t need to be a genius or rocket scientist to achieve consistently profitable returns in the share market.

Since that time Dale has written best selling book,”How To Beat The Managed Funds By 20%“, and co-founded Wealth Within a Share Education and Investment company dedicated to raising the standard in the share education industry and providing returns for their clients in excess of 20% through their Managed Account service.
