Why We Established Wealth Within
At the time, too many people paid thousands of dollars for courses that gave them only part of the picture. They would finish one course only to discover they needed to buy another to fill in the gaps. We wanted to provide a comprehensive course that taught students how to analyse the market and manage risk in all market conditions.
When Wealth Within was established in 2002, we supported traders and investors through practical workshops. Over the following years, clients asked us to develop a comprehensive course that brought the knowledge, techniques and practical application together.
How our education courses evolved
In 2005, Wealth Within became a Registered Training Organisation and successfully applied for government accreditation of the course we had developed. That course is now known as the Diploma of Share Trading and Investment (Course Code: 11398NAT).
In 2007, we introduced the Short Course in Share Trading, which incorporates the first three modules of the Diploma. This gives students an alternative pathway into the Diploma.
More than a decade ago, we also developed the Trading Mentor Course. It provides an accessible starting point for people who want to learn the foundations of share trading. It also lets students decide whether trading is right for them before committing to more comprehensive study.
Our goal is to develop consistently profitable traders
Our purpose is to provide comprehensive education, so students no longer need to buy additional courses to fill gaps in their knowledge. This helps them avoid the frustration of relying on free information that often contains conflicting messages. Think about it: knowing about trading is very different to knowing how to trade.
The Diploma provides the knowledge, practical skills and support students need to become confident and consistently profitable traders.
Like any course, enrolling is only the beginning. Students need to develop the skills and apply the techniques consistently throughout their studies to achieve results. There is no magic bullet to becoming consistently profitable. We provide the education and support, while each student is responsible for applying what they learn.

Our Approach to Share Market Education
Knowing more about the share market does not automatically make someone a better trader or investor. What matters is understanding what to do, why you are doing it and how to apply that knowledge consistently. Information alone is not education. Knowing how to trade means applying what you know correctly in the right context.
Students develop their knowledge and skills progressively rather than relying on tips, guesswork or costly trial and error. We use established market analysis techniques developed by recognised market pioneers, including Dow Theory, Gann Theory and Elliott Wave Theory, among others. Together with sound risk management, these techniques help students develop a clear, repeatable approach to the market.
Our education covers trading and investing across different timeframes, from shorter-term trading through to longer-term investing. Whatever a student’s preferred timeframe, the focus remains the same: making informed decisions and applying a disciplined process.
The Diploma also attracts professionals, including accountants and financial planners. They want to deepen their share market knowledge to better support their clients.
Recognised Education and Industry Credentials
Wealth Within holds an Australian Financial Services Licence and is a Registered Training Organisation. We deliver nationally recognised education in share trading and investment.
We have delivered government-accredited education through a Registered Training Organisation since 2005. Today, the Diploma is delivered by Wealth Within Institute Pty Ltd, RTO 21917.
The Experience Behind Wealth Within
The quality of our education comes from the knowledge and experience of the people behind it. They continue to develop and deliver the education while supporting our students.
Our assessors, educators and course-support team are all graduates of the Diploma of Share Trading and Investment. They understand the course, the work involved and the challenges students may face because they have completed it themselves. This allows them to provide informed, practical support as students progress through the program.
Co-founder and Chief Analyst Dale Gillham brings more than 30 years of experience across banking, financial planning and share market education. His experience also includes professional trading and investment management.
He is also the best-selling author of How to Beat the Managed Funds by 20%. First published in 2004, the book has sold more than 24,000 copies and been reprinted numerous times. The Wealth Within team brings more than 80 years of combined practical market experience to our courses, analysis and student support.
