Millennials Unlocking Start-Up Funding Potential
Proactive Investors New - 04 Dec. 23
While most of us have probably dreamt of launching an app or product that attracts the masses, many start-ups have achieved just that with some going from the garage to corporate offices in a matter of years, of without any profitability. While these start-ups have attracted significant capital in the past, it would seem that the good times of obtaining funding are over, and I don't believe they're returning anytime soon. While the challenges may vary based on industry, location and other factors, there are some common reasons why start-ups are finding it difficult to obtain funding...

82% of experts confident the cash rate will hold
Michael Yardney's Property Update - 02 Dec. 23
According to the latest Finder RBA Cash Rate Survey, more than 4 in 5 experts (82%,) believe the RBA will hold the cash rate at 4.35% in December, leaving 18% predicting an increase. The survey had 38 experts and economists weighing in on future cash rate moves and other issues relating to the state of the economy. According to Dale Gillham, when it comes to first homebuyers in 2024, high interest rates are a deterrent: “This along with increasing housing prices will slow new home buyers."

Why Builders are Watching Rate Hikes Closely
Money Magazine EDM - 17 Nov. 23
Speaking to Money Magazine EDM, Dale Gillham, chief analyst at Wealth Within, said "Last week, the RBA increased interest rates again, putting further pressure on mortgage holders, but will this rate rise also impact the construction industry and new homes? As many building companies have defaulted over the past few years due to labour shortages and the price of building materials at record levels, it's no wonder many Australians are worried about building a new home. As such, you would think the latest rate rise would spell disaster for the building industry. I'm not surprised that many think the housing market is all doom and gloom, but is this negative perception about the future of the construction industry an opportunity in waiting...

Where to Invest in this Economy
Money Magazine - 16 Nov. 23

We also know that when things seem uncertain this is the time when fortunes are made...
