BHP and Woodside Set to Merge

Woodside petroleum is merging with BHP’s petroleum business, which will not only create a global top 10 energy company to compete on the world stage, it will also enable the merged companies to satisfy Australia’s changing energy requirements. Given that many investors hold either one or both of these companies, how will this merger affect them and should investors buy more shares or sell the shares they hold.
